The ancestral heritage of the area includes a mix of English, Irish, German, Italian, and Scotch-Irish.

This welcoming town is located on the eastern border of California, and shares its lake border with Nevada. With an elevation of 6232 feet, Tahoe Vista is a popular skiing destination. There is little to no humidity, even in the sunny months of summer. The powder snow that falls in winter is just right for hitting the slopes. No matter what time of year you visit, you’ll find many outdoor activities on the lake or in the surrounding mountains.

Aside from the sporting and hiking that are available in Placer County, where Tahoe Vista is located, there are many other exciting attractions in the area.
